Our befriending service provides one to one support in a person’s own home by a visit from a volunteer befriender, telephone support by way of a weekly telephone call and the option to attend our monthly lunch at a local eating establishment – transport is provided free of charge but the cost of the lunch is met by the client. The scheme is available to those over 60 who are living alone and have been identified as socially isolated or those with a disability.
